A baby's tuck stitch shawl knitted in sizx sections, using 2 strands of 2/30's. you start at the centre and work outwards. When knitting the 2nd sectin you pick up one side of the 1st section at the same time. By the time you come to knit the last sectin you pick up one section either side, so that there is no sewing up at the end. The playmat/bag is woven and can open up into a playmat for the baby or be gthered into a bag to carry any toys etc.

Using the same technique as the quilted jacket and bodywarmer, we have made something to keep the baby snug and warm. This is a very light quilt knitted in 2 strands of Undy Yarncrafts Two Thirties. We have made one all in white, with a lace edging and decorated with white daisies - full instructions included. There is another version which is knitted in the 4 primary colours - red, blue, green and yellow - changing the colours with every pocket. This is edged with a short fringe and decorated with felt appliqué.
