This yarn is versatile and economical. It is machine washable and has excellent wash and wear properties. Ideal for standard gauge machines using tuck stitch, lace and fairisle. This yarn is also widely used for double bed knitting and jaquard.

500g approx. in accordance with BS 984 - 1693 metres (1850 yds) - I cone will make a garment up to 102cms (42") in single stocking stitch on a standard gauge knitting machine.

This yarn may be considered too thick to knit on standard gauge machines, but it has been used successfully at tension 10 with the yarn mast tension turned down to minimum, it works well with slip stitch on standard machines. Excellent results can ne obtained by using a Garter Carriage for many different stitch patterns including rib and full garter stitch. On chunky machines use for Fairisle, Tuck Stitch, Fishermans Rib and Lacy Knit. Useful as a weaving yarn.
