April 3rd and 4th
'FascinatingFelt' - A
'try out' session introducing various techniques for producing felted fabrics
from wool. Learn how to make some felted jewellery, a
felt ball, purse or decorate knitwear using methods such as dry felting (needle
felt), Turkish and Scandinavian methods, felting
constructed fabrics, resist felting. Includes a brief
introduction and a history of felting.

or old, interested in learning about the fascinating craft of felting

Knitting on the Knitting Machine'. Exploring different methods of shaping
garments, forget the back front and 2 sleeves and let your imagination run riot
with a variety of techniques to produce unusual and fun knitwear.
Bill is a well known knitted
fabric designer.
His talks are informed and
always entertaining.
Suitable for machine knitters
of all abilities and those interested in the design of knitwear generally.

'Weaving without a loom' -
A 'try out' session introducing simple weaving techniques including peg looms,
simple fixed heddle weaving, weaving on sticks, weaving on card and hardboard,
weaving on rings and frames.

Iris Bishop - 'Painting and
Stenciling on Knitted Fabrics'. Including making your own stencils.
Iris
Bishop is well known among machine knitters all over
the world for her innovative designs and techniques for
adding colour to knitted garments.

wants to learn more about the techniques of painting and stenciling on fabrics.
